Let the journey trip on itself to Iceland

Iceland from the ocean

Toronto Pearson Int’l Airport

Thank the heavens I took work off today. My flight to Iceland boards in a little over an hour and it feels good to sit at my gate and let my body acclimate to airport temps. It has been nonstop today: wake up early; pack… Get frustrated with packing;  give up; do some yoga; clean apartment; pack; go for a massage(!) and then make a 3-course dinner (at 3 pm), shower and finish packing. Phew. I even splurged and caught the new Union Pearson  (UP) Express from Dundas West. Super speedy and beat all that rush hour traffic –  though I had to fight with it on the subway to Dundas West. Def annoyed the H out of some commuters.

I am très excited for this trip. I have wanted to go to Iceland for years. I’m obsessed with The History Channel’s Vikings – though I know the show is filmed in Ireland, and takes place in Scandinavia somewhere, I still think of Iceland as teeming with model-turned-actor Aussie Travis Fimmel lookalikes. #Agirlcandream

We have much planned for such a short trip.

Next stop Keflavik Airport, then on to the Skuggi Hotel. And soon to reunite with childhood bestie, Kim. Saaayy whaaaatt?

Smiling big.

Hey stop by the blue lagoon either on your way from or to the airport, the shuttle always stops by 👍 and eat heaps of skyr (like a low-fat/high protein yoghurt thingy).
    Enjoy! Iceland is awesome 😊👍
