Summing up the energy to go for a run after a loooong day at work can be hard. Trying to find the motivation when it’s drizzling and getting dark (super early I might add) can be harder. Yet I put all the excuses aside, knowing that even if I ran for five minutes I would feel good about myself. I understand how endorphins work and I like ’em. So natch, I put on my new Saucony’s and went for a jog in my local cemetery.
I am so glad I did. Given the season, the leaves of the many trees are a-changing and it made for a beautiful run. I had to stop and take some pics. My iPhone pictures haven’t done the scenery justice, so I think I’ll have to run at least one or two more times before the winter is here to continue to enjoy the foliage.
I am less bummed over saying goodbye to summer. Fall is my friend and nature is a good running motivator.
